With four commitments made since Friday last week, Eastern Michigan saw its 2027 recruiting class grow up to 10 pledges yesterday.
EMU’s recent run of commitments began with the addition of a Carolina-based running back, two players from Florida, and another from Philly.
Let’s start to get acclimated:
Micah Olu, of Wake Forest, N.C. (Wake Forest HS), became the fourth offensive player to commit to EMU Friday. Old also held offers from: Campbell, Charlotte, Elon, Gardner-Webb, NC Central, North Carolina A&T, Richmond, and Troy.
Long snapper Maxx Rossow from nearby-Tampa Wesley Chapel, Fla. (Wesley Chapel) announced his decision to commit to EMU, his lone offer.
Then two defensive ends each committed to EMU Wednesday — Austin Wright and Noah Prince.
Wright, of Philadelphia, Pa. (Roman Catholic) picked EMU over Akron, Bowling Green, Bryant, Fordham, Georgia State, James Madison, Maine, Monmouth, New Haven, Temple, Towson, and UMass.
Prince, from Orlando, Fla. (Bishop Moore) chose EMU over a litany of D1 offers as well: Albany, Arkansas State, Bethune-Cookman, East Tennessee State, Florida International, Fordham, Kent State, Georgia State, Middle Tennessee, New Haven, Rhode Island, Stony Brook, UConn, and UMass.
Per On3, EMU currently has the third-highest rated class in the MAC with three of its commitments recognized as three-star talents: DB Obi Duru, QB Ben Peterson, and LB Gannon Limotte. Miami and Western Michigan are currently the #1 and #2-rated teams in the conference.
