Eastern Michigan Football Depth Chart: Week 4 vs. Buffalo

Celebrating is fun, but it’s time to flip the page.

Eastern Michigan, now 2-1 on the year after an unforgettable 30-21 win at Arizona State, will begin its conference schedule this weekend with a home date against Buffalo.

Ahead of the crossover MAC event, EMU published its current depth chart in its game notes.

Of note:

  • Injuries at WR and DT have Darius Lassiter starting in place of Dylan Drummond and Peyton Price starting in place of Alex Merritt.

  • QB Taylor Powell was knocked out of the Arizona State game, but is expected to be back in full-form this weekend.

  • Carter Evans made his first career start last week against Arizona State, and is scheduled to make his second vs. Buffalo.

Offense

Quarterback

  1. #7 Taylor Powell — Removed during last week’s game, did not return after injury. EMU head coach said Powell should be ready to play this week vs. Buffalo.

  2. #19 Austin Smith — Smith replaced Powell last week early in the second quarter. Smith went 4/8 passing with 1 pass TD, and ran for 62 yards (8 carries) to help EMU beat Arizona State.

  1. #22 Samson Evans — Evans set a single-game best rushing performance of 258 yards vs. Arizona State.

  2. #28 Jaylon Jackson — Scored first rush TD for EMU last week.
