Congrats to Eastern Michigan alum Andrew Wylie for going to the Super Bowl!

Wylie, who blocks for Pat Mahomes on Kansas City, will be the first former EMU football player to play in the Super Bowl since 2011 when it featured two former Eagles: T.J. Lang (Green Bay) and Charlie Batch (Pittsburgh).

Wylie’s appearance in the Super Bowl will be the 14th by a former EMU player.

Wylie, 25, went undrafted in 2017 after being named a Third Team All-MAC lineman as a senior at Eastern. He joined three different practice squads that year before finally signing with Kansas City, and worked his way into being a regular starter. In three seasons with the Chiefs, Wylie’s played in 27 games and made 21 starts.

Wylie and the Chiefs will take on the 49ers of San Francisco, and the big game will be on Sunday, Feb. 2 on FOX.
