Eastern Michigan is entering the mid-point of the season, and it feels like conference play is just getting here.
But, thanks to a sudden Week 0 home opener against new, rich conference mate Sacramento State, EMU already has a conference win in its pocket. A 2-3 record for EMU isn’t pretty, and UMass (or Massachusetts, if you prefer that branding) is off to a 4-0 (1-0 MAC) start; its best start as an FBS team.
And, from the looks of things online, it looks like this game’s going to happen in front of a sellout crowd.
That’s right. UMass vs. Eastern Michigan is going to be at max capacity.
With the upcoming game comes a new packet of notes and a new round of press conference quotes. Below is EMU’s updated depth chart, and some of my notes.

First start, early exit: Jason Marshall did not play last week, so Davion Williams made his first start. He was removed from the game in the second quarter, though, after a hit to the head against Lindenwood quarterback Pop Battles.
